Recently named #12 on CNBC’s 2015 Disruptor 50 list, Rodney Williams and the LISNR team have their eyes set on big goals.
Rodney, a former P&G brand manager, started his company in 2012. Since then LISNR raised 4.4 million in venture capital, opened offices in New York and San Fransisco and acquired huge customers like Real Madrid, AT&T, and Budweiser.
Their goal? To become the Google of the Midwest.
Tim Schigel, Cintrifuse Fund Manager and LISNR investor reacted to the news –
“I think what we’re seeing with LISNR is that very talented people who might be working at large, global leaders such as Kroger, Procter & Gamble, GE Aviation, etc. have exposure to interesting problems. Some of them stay and rise through the ranks, and others pursue their entrepreneurial itch. It’s critical we have some sort of a landing pad for those budding entrepreneurs.
When Rodney left P&G 3 years ago, LISNR became the first resident company in Cintrifuse. What he found in Cintrifuse was a place to set up shop, build a team, raise capital and advance his idea and now he’s #12 on a nationally-recognized list of the top disruptors in business. LISNR is in the same conversation with Uber and SpaceX!
The more we can tell the story about #StartupCincy as a place to make these entrepreneurial dreams come true the better.”
