Greater Cincinnati’s startup catalyst organization announces a new board member today welcoming Raja Rajamannar, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Mastercard (MA).
Rajamannar has an impressive background blending technology, innovation, and business management. He’s routinely listed as one of the Most Influential CMOs (Forbes) and on Billboard’s Power 100. While Raja works out of Purchase, New York, he maintains a home in Cincinnati and is very active with the Indian American Chamber of Commerce, which is how he became familiar with Cintrifuse. He was instantly impressed with its mission to build a tech-based economy in the Greater Cincinnati region by giving corporations (BigCos) access to innovation by working with startups.
“We’re very proud to welcome Raja to the board of Cintrifuse,” said Valarie Sheppard, Cintrifuse Board Chair; Senior Vice President, Comptroller and Treasurer at Procter & Gamble (PG). “Drawing the attention of another global corporation like Mastercard, and an executive with the perspective of Raja, speaks to the vision and scope of Cintrifuse: solving BigCo innovation issues by working with startups.”
“As a global corporation, we have a pretty good perspective that we’re in the midst of a major transformation. There are serious changes happening largely led by the digital revolution and the way consumers are choosing and using their products,” says Rajamannar. “Innovation is not a department within an organization. It should be real thinking and authentic culture. I’m thrilled to be part of the Cintrifuse team and spread that message of entrepreneurship and innovation to a wide audience.”
