Cintrifuse Adds Four to Board of Directors

Cincinnati, OH (October 3, 2018) Cintrifuse announced Thursday the addition of four new members to its Board of Directors. The new members include Gregory Crawford, President of Miami University; Ryan Kean, VP of Technical Strategy & Architecture at The Kroger Company; Rod Robinson, Founder and CEO of  ConnXus, Inc.; and Ashish Vaidya, President of Northern Kentucky University.

With the addition of two university presidents, a Fortune 500 executive and a startup founder – the Cintrifuse Board will continue to lead the organization towards the common goal of creating a stronger tech presence in Greater Cincinnati – which will ultimately improve the economy, foster the growth of regional talent and elevate Cincinnati as a premier destination for startups in the Midwest.

“As we continue to build out an innovation economy in the Greater Cincinnati Region, we are intentionally adding new board members that represent key stakeholders in our ecosystem,” said Wendy Lea, CEO of Cintrifuse. “The Cintrifuse Board of Directors, along with the CEO, is focused on achieving our goal: Being the premier destination of startup innovation in the Midwest.”

The additions of Crawford and Vaidya increases the presence of local universities on the Cintrifuse Board – joining University of Cincinnati’s David Adams, CEO of 1819 Innovation Hub and Chief Innovation Officer. Crawford is an entrepreneur with 21 U.S. patents and patent applications while Vaidya has presented his work on Social Entrepreneurship and Higher Education at international conferences. With the addition of Kean from The Kroger Company, the Cintrifuse Board gains another prominent voice from the collection of Fortune 500 companies in the region. As Robinson joins Cintrifuse, he will be the second CEO from a local Cincinnati Startup, replacing Ahalogy CEO Bob Gilbreath and joining Cerkl CEO Tarek Kamil.

“When you have a broad mission, you need input from diverse stakeholders so everyone is heard,” said Robinson. “It’s important we don’t lose sight of those tech-based founders, the entrepreneurs we want to foster, and develop right here in Cincinnati. I’m proud to play a role in this impactful journey.”
